Ferragosto celebrates 25 years in Five Dock

The City of Canada Bay is excited to celebrate Ferragosto’s 25th birthday this month with the best of Italian food, culture and entertainment spread along Great North Road, Five Dock from 10am-5pm on Sunday, 21 August.

Ferragosto is one of Sydney’s biggest and most beloved Italian festivals, with over 100,000 people attending each year. After a two-year hiatus, Ferragosto will return bigger and better than ever.

This year’s festival will feature over 100 food, wine and merchandise stalls, free children’s rides, cooking demos, live music by Italian artists and performances from local dance and performing arts schools.

Headlining the FerraVarietà main stage is accomplished singer, dancer and presenter Johnny Ruffo, while celebrity chef Luca Ciano will be bringing his passion for cooking to the kitchen stage, FerraCucina.

Our Presenting Partner, Crostoli King will be creating giant crostoli biscuits especially for the event, as well as hosting cannoli eating competitions, a tiramisu making demonstration and serving up traditional Italian sweet and savoury treats.

Other highlights include a comedy performance from Italian-Australian actor and comedian James Liotta, a display of Ducatis and Mini Fiats, the FerraBar for over 18s only, and an open-air cinema showing Italian classics.

This year we are also introducing FerraTrattoria – a long table lunch curated by Luca Ciano. Tickets include a three-course meal, complimentary drink on arrival, live music and a VIP gift bag. .
