The iconic Festival of Fisher’s Ghost Festival will return from 31 October to 10 November, with an exciting program of Council events and community-led activations.
Celebrations will kick off on Thursday 31 October with a Halloween-themed opening night of the Fisher’s Ghost Carnival at Campbelltown Showground, featuring amusement rides, a sideshow alley, carnival treats and impressive fireworks display on Saturday 2 and 9 November.
Fisher’s Twilight Fair will offer stage entertainment, market stalls, roaming entertainers and kids’ activities in Campbelltown CBD on Saturday 2 November and Sunset Sounds music festival will return to Campbelltown Athletics Stadium on Saturday 9 November with a stacked line-up of talented stage musicians.
“The Festival of Fisher’s Ghost is our biggest annual celebration and one of our oldest traditions, celebrating a legend that endures in Campbelltown to this day,” said Mayor Dr George Greiss.
“Since 1956, this beloved event has been a point of pride and celebration for our community and so I encourage everyone to get involved in the exciting events planned for this year,” said Dr Greiss.
Campbelltown Arts Centre will offer a Fisher’s Ghost Art Award Exhibition throughout the festival, highlighting selected entries from this year’s competition. Families can also enjoy Fisher’s Kids as it returns to Campbelltown Arts Centre with Japanese-inspired activities, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Campbelltown Koshigaya sister city relationship.
Visitors can also enjoy a variety of Fisher’s Associated Events, hosted by local community groups and businesses during the festival.
