Final Perth City Link Lots To Go On Sale

  • Four remaining Perth City Link lots available via Expressions of Interest
  • Lots range from 2,115sqm to 3,941sqm, adjacent to under-construction ECU City Campus
  • Strong opportunities to secure a mixed-use site in vibrant Perth location

The transformative Perth City Link is entering its final phase, with four new development sites to be released to market via an Expressions of Interest (EOI) campaign on Wednesday 26 June 2024.

A rare CBD opportunity for developers and investors, the sites are well located next to public transport links, including the Perth Busport, Perth Train Station, Perth Underground Station, and high-quality pedestrian connections.

Further activation of the precinct includes the relaunched Yagan Square and its new hospitality venue ‘Stories,’ featuring nine bars, three restaurants, a speakeasy, rooftop bar and private dining space.

The lots range in size from 2,115sqm to 3,941sqm, with planning controls allowing for development of up to 30 storeys on Lots 12 and 18, 20 storeys on Lot 19, and 16 storeys on Lot 11. Proponents may lodge a submission for a single lot, combination of two or three, or all four.

These lots are the last available land created by sinking the railway and bus port to reconnect the Perth CBD and Northbridge.

The sites are expected to add important residential and student accommodation to Perth City Link, supporting the new Edith Cowan University (ECU) City Campus which is currently under construction.

With an estimated population of 10,000 students and staff expected to attend the new ECU City Campus in 2026, there will be numerous opportunities for a more vibrant CBD, with varied accommodation, dining, and entertainment options.

The sites have already received significant interest from local, national, and international companies who recognise the potential to create world-class developments that will cater to Perth’s growing population.

The eight-week EOI campaign runs from Wednesday 26 June and closes on Thursday 22 August at 2pm WST.

As stated by Lands and Housing Minister John Carey:

“The Perth City Link will play a pivotal role in supporting CBD businesses and furthering Perth’s growth as a thriving modern city delivering more local jobs and economic opportunities to continue driving our State’s growth.

“Our Government is investing hundreds of millions to create jobs, economic activity, attract people and support small business in our city, including the new ECU inner city Campus.

“10,000 students and staff a day will provide a major boost to small business, bringing more life and vibrancy to the area and this is exactly what our city needs.

“We’re keen to see what world-class commercial, retail, mixed-use and residential precincts can be delivered that capitalise on this location and clearly residential and student accommodation would be received favourably.

“We want to make our city more liveable, attractive and vibrant for locals and visitors alike.”
