The Department of Education congratulates the outstanding earlychildhood educators, services and programs who have today been announcedfinalists for the 2019 Northern Territory Education and Care Awards.
Acting Chief Executive, Leanne Nixon, said the awards are an opportunityto recognise the outstanding achievements of early childhood and school ageeducators, services and programs in the Northern Territory.
This year we received 91 Education and Care Award nominations and 32Parents and Community Voice submissions from across the Territory, Ms Nixonsaid.
These figures speak volumes about the number of wonderful educators,programs and services that are delivering quality outcomes for young childrenand their families right across the Northern Territory.
Early childhood educators and programs play a fundamental role in achilds development, and I congratulate each of the finalists and nominees ontheir valuable contribution and commitment to ensuring our children have thebest start in life.
This is an outstanding achievement and one that you should all beextremely proud of.
