Statement on Westpac by Julia Angrisano, National Secretary, Finance Sector Union of Australia:
“As a consequence of the serious allegations raised by AUSTRAC, and the widespread media reporting over the last 24 hours, earlier today the Finance Sector Union sought assurances from Westpac that all necessary staff support arrangements would be in place, right across the bank.”
“Westpac’s people are its most important asset, and the Finance Sector Union is 100% committed to making sure the wellbeing of Westpac staff is a priority for the bank.”
“The allegations made by AUSTRAC are extremely serious and raise many questions. However, the Finance Sector Union’s primary focus at this time is the health and wellbeing of our Westpac members.”
