Perth’s best pre-loved, vintage and high-end label clothing market is coming to Fremantle on Sunday 6 November.
The City of Fremantle and the City of Melville have partnered to support the epic thrifting event, a powerhouse collaboration between the Pre-loved Market and Garage Sale Trail.
There will be over 56 racks to choose from, with items spanning fashion, accessories, art and homewares.
City of Fremantle Waste Minimisation Officer Kelly Levisohn said the event is suitable for everyone, whether you’re a first-time or experienced thrifter looking for unique pieces.
“We’re excited for Pre-loved Market to come to Fremantle to give people a chance to find some great affordable treasures,” Ms Levishon said
“Fremantle has so many options for second-hand clothing, furniture and homewares. By shopping second hand you can help both the environment and your budget.”
The Pre-Loved Market believes that sustainable fashion is not just a trend but the way of the future, encouraging shoppers to normalise re-wearing outfits and upcycling fashion.
This year’s market will be held at Fremantle Town Hall on Sunday 6 November from 10am-2pm.
The second-hand fun will continue later this month, with the Garage Sale Trail kicking off over two big weekends from 12-13 and 19-20 November.
So far, there have been 78 garage sales and stalls registered over both weekends, with numbers predicted to increase as the date draws closer.
Fremantle Mayor Hannah Fitzhardinge said she was thrilled the City would be taking part in the Garage Sale Trail again this year.
“It’s Australia’s biggest reuse and community event and we’re proud to be playing our part,” Mayor Fitzhardinge said.
“Not only is it imperative that we take measures to help protect our environment, but it’s equally important that we do it together as a community.
“I encourage everyone to show their support, whether you sign up to host a sale or simply come down and hunt for a bargain.”
