Council has again teamed up with rehoming organisations to host its annual Dog Adoption Day on Saturday.
There was plenty of yapping, tail wagging and licking today as Cairns Councillors Anna Middleton, Brett Olds, Trevor Tim, Brett Moller, Mathew Tickner and Kristy Vallely got a visit from some of the rescue puppies up for adoption.
Over the past 8 years, our pet adoption days have found loving homes for more than 500 cats and dogs that have been surrendered or abandoned.
Come down to the Aeroglen Dog Off Leash Park (next to the touch fields on Aeroglen Drive) on Saturday from 9am to 1pm, to meet the pooches available for adoption.
Shout out to the amazing rehoming organisations that have partnered with Council to make this day possible!
