Strike Force Raptor have charged a Finks outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) member and an associate as part of an investigation into drug supply in Sydney’s west.
In October 2018, Criminal Groups Squad’s Strike Force Raptor formed Strike Force Lumley to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs by members and associates of the Finks OMCG.
About 12pm on Saturday (11 May 2019), Strike Force Raptor investigators pulled over a vehicle in St Marys and spoke with the driver and sole occupant, a 58-year-old Mt Druitt man.
During a search of the man and the vehicle, police located and seized 224g of methylamphetamine, which is set to undergo forensic testing.
Shortly after, investigators executed two search warrants at properties in St Marys and Mt Druitt, where they located prohibited drugs, an air soft pistol, three crossbows, two electronic stun devices, a slingshot, Finks OMCG national colours, and several electronic devices.
These items were seized to undergo forensic examination.
The 58-year-old man, who is the national president of the Finks OMCG, was taken to Penrith Police Station, where he was charged with supply indictable quantity of prohibited drug and possess prohibited drug.
He was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear before Penrith Local Court on Monday 20 May 2019.
A 40-year-old St Marys man, who is an associate of the Finks OMCG, was charged with 15 counts of supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, and drive motor vehicle during disqualification period.
He was refused bail and appeared at Parramatta Local Court yesterday (Sunday 12 May 2019), where he was formally refused bail to appear before Penrith Local Court on Friday 17 May 2019.
Investigations under Strike Force Lumley continue.
