Bushfires NT
The Chief Fire Control Officer, Bushfires NT and the Director, NT Fire and Rescue Service have declared a 24 HOUR FIRE BAN PERIOD for Thursday 27 August 2020 for the following areas.
Darwin and Adelaide River, Daly South, Gregory, Carpentaria and Arnhem West Fire Weather Forecast Areas and the Northern Fire Protection Zone and Katherine Fire Protection Zone.
The Fire Ban is declared for a 24 hour period commencing at 0000 hours on Thursday 27 August 2020.
No person shall light a fire or cause a fire to be lit in the open in the portion of the Northern Territory within the fire ban area.
This includes the DARWIN, ADELAIDE RIVER, BATCHELOR, MARRAKAI, PINE CREEK and KATHERINE EMERGENCY RESPONSE AREAS.
The Fire Ban is valid from midnight to midnight.
