Emergency services responded to reports of a house fire on Jesmond Road at Indooroopilly overnight.
Police arrived just after 11pm to find one house well alight and a second house with minor damage, including a carport and vehicle which were destroyed, before the fire was extinguished.
All residents were evacuated safely, and bystanders assisted an injured man in his 80s and a woman in her 60s to safety.
Investigations continue into the cause of the fire.
