A man has been arrested on drug offences following a firearms incident at Seaton overnight.
Just before 10pm on Tuesday 26 March police patrols were called to a townhouse complex on Tapleys Hill Road after reports of what sounded like gunshots.
On arrival, patrols searched the area locating a bullet hole in an iron fence at the end of the driveway of the townhouse complex and number of spent bullet casings.
Crime Scene Examiners and Ballistic experts were called in along with a Police Dog patrol to search the area for any firearms.
The Police gun dog subsequently located a handgun in a nearby street, the firearm has been seized and now will be forensically examined.
Western District Detectives investigating the incident subsequently attended another Seaton home locating a quantity of illicit drugs believed to be steroids.
A 31-year-old Seaton man has been arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled substance. He has been refused police bail and Port Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
Police enquiries are continuing on the firearms incident which is not believed to be random and there are no reported injuries.
