First Nations Peoples & Communities Awards 2024

Nominations are now open for the First Nations Peoples & Communities Awards, celebrating those who have helped improve policing outcomes for First Nations peoples and communities across Queensland.

Now in its second year, the awards aim to recognise and honour the exceptional contributions made by members of the Queensland Police Service (QPS), personnel of other government departments, community organisations, and individuals from the community who have assisted the QPS in serving Queensland’s First Nations People and Communities.

Among the five awards on offer, the Community Service Award is open to an individual or a team from a community group and/or government group, or an individual member or team from the community, who have:

  • Provided a service to the QPS and/or our First Nations People and Communities; and
