Police have charged five people with drug supply offences following investigations into an alleged South Coast drug syndicate.
In May 2019, investigators from Criminal Groups Squad’s Strike Force Raptor South and South Coast Police District established Strike Force Adnamira to investigate the manufacture and supply of methylamphetamine across the South Coast.
During the investigation so far, a 21-year-old man was served with a Future Service Court Attendance Notice for alleged firearm offences on Wednesday 17 July 2019.
He has been remanded in custody over unrelated matters and will appear before Nowra Local Court on Monday 14 October 2019.
A 32-year-old man was arrested twice, first in Nowra on Wednesday 31 July and then in Gerringong on Thursday 1 August 2019, over alleged drug supply (x2) and breach of bail.
He was refused bail and remanded to appear before Nowra Local Court on Monday 16 September 2019.
A 49-year-old man was arrested at Culburra Beach last Friday (23 August 2019) and was charged with alleged drug supply (x2), deal in proceeds of crime (x2), participate in criminal group and resist arrest.
He was refused bail and remanded in custody to appear before Nowra Local Court on Friday 18 October 2019.
A 26-year-old man was arrested at Nowra on Wednesday 28 August 2019 over alleged drug supply (x4), participate in criminal group and an outstanding warrant.
He was refused bail and remanded to appear before Nowra Local Court on Friday 13 September 2019.
Following further inquiries, strike force investigators arrested a 41-year-old woman at Nowra Police Station about 11.30am on Friday 30 August 2019.
She was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug (between indictable and commercial quantity).
The woman was refused bail and appeared before Nowra Local Court on Saturday 31 August 2019 where she was formally refused bail to reappear at the same court on Monday 16 September 2019.
Investigations under Strike Force Adnamira continue and further arrests are expected.
