Flinders University has maintained its world class reputation in the 2021 Times Higher Education ranking of the world’s best universities, holding its position inside the top 300.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Colin Stirling says it’s a solid result at a turbulent time.
“Despite unprecedented disruption, Flinders University academics are focused on making a difference and their hard work and dedication is helping us to stay the course,” Professor Stirling says.
“In particular, our improvement in Citations and International Outlook year on year is a strong indication of our academic success driven by high-quality research – much of it in collaboration with partners around the globe.
“It is also testament to the incredible effort of our people to strive ever harder despite the current challenges, to deliver impactful research and education.”
Flinders Unversity’s underlying strength is reflected in its recent rise to 38 in the world in the Times Higher Education rankings of universities which were created during the post-world war two expansion of higher education and now aged 50 to 80 years old.
