Football Australia Hall Of Fame 2024 Nominations Open

Football Australia is opening up nominations to be submitted for the Hall of Fame class of 2024.

The recognises extraordinary accomplishments over a career by players, coaches, referees, administrators, media and participants who have made a significant contribution to the game in Australia.

Nominations close on 30 June 2024 at 11:59pm AEST, with the football community encouraged to submit their recommendations for the next inductees.

The nominations will be judged by a panel of Football Australia historians and should meet the following criteria:

  1. Players must have been retired from their national or international career for a period of 5 years.
  2. Coaches, referees, administrators, or media representatives may be recognised for their overall contribution to the game, which needs to be at least 25 years.
  3. Recipients of an Australian Football Award may also be considered for induction.
  4. Nominees must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia.
  5. All nominations must be for individuals, not teams or groups.
  6. Unsuccessful nominees may be re-nominated and/or re-considered for nomination in subsequent years.
