Football Australia is opening up nominations to be submitted for the Hall of Fame class of 2024.
The recognises extraordinary accomplishments over a career by players, coaches, referees, administrators, media and participants who have made a significant contribution to the game in Australia.
Nominations close on 30 June 2024 at 11:59pm AEST, with the football community encouraged to submit their recommendations for the next inductees.
The nominations will be judged by a panel of Football Australia historians and should meet the following criteria:
- Players must have been retired from their national or international career for a period of 5 years.
- Coaches, referees, administrators, or media representatives may be recognised for their overall contribution to the game, which needs to be at least 25 years.
- Recipients of an Australian Football Award may also be considered for induction.
- Nominees must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia.
- All nominations must be for individuals, not teams or groups.
- Unsuccessful nominees may be re-nominated and/or re-considered for nomination in subsequent years.
