In celebration of the FIFA Women’s World Cup this month, football fans across the west will have the opportunity to unite with Wyndham City’s free Football Fever Celebration on Saturday 22 July, 11am – 2pm.
Wyndham City Mayor, Cr Susan McIntyre invited football fans from across the west to be part of the celebrations.
“Join us as we proudly celebrate Wyndham’s involvement in the World Cup! Galvin Park, serving as a training camp base for the Morocco women’s national football team during this grand tournament,” she said.
“Being part of the largest women’s sporting event is an incredible honour for Wyndham.”
The Football Fever Celebration at Wyndham Park will come alive with interactive football activities, lively roving entertainment, free face painting, captivating music, and an array of food trucks offering delicious snacks to indulge in.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet players from the Western United Football Club and participate in free come-and-try sessions hosted by Wyndham’s local football clubs.
Additionally, every participant will receive their very own Football Fever Kids Activity Passport to take home.
As part of the event, the USA v Vietnam match, which is being played in Auckland, will be live streamed, followed by free football gaming on the big screen, where you’ll be able to challenge your friends to a FIFA match!
Cr McIntyre added: “Across the west we are united by our passion for football and invite fans to celebrate the World Cup in Wyndham.”

Wyndham City’s Active City portfolio holder, Cr Peter Maynard said it was great to see Galvin Park recognised as a world class facility and looked forward to football growing as a sport in Wyndham.
