Motorsport enthusiasts around the country are gearing up for the opportunity to own Chaz Mostert’s first Ford Mustang Gen3 Supercar which has already had multiple wins under its belt this year and the opportunity to even win Bathurst 1000 when it goes under the hammer at Lloyds Auctions this September.
The race-winning supercar will go down in Australian Motorsport history as the first car Chaz drove a Mustang and won with team Walkinshaw Andretti United.
This season, the car has already won three major races in 2024, including Perth and recently both Races 15 and 16 at Sydney Motor Sport Park.
“Owning a piece of my V8 Supercar history is something truly special and knowing it could be part of Bathurst’s winning legacy makes it even more remarkable, imagine seeing it roar across the finish line in your name,” said Mr. Chaz Mostert, V8 Supercar driver for Walkinshaw Andretti United.
To add to that, Mostert has so far collected a total of sixteen podium finishes in this Gen3 Chassis to date, as well as two pole position awards. With Mostert currently 2nd in the hunt for the Drivers’ Championship in 2024, there will be more to come and who knows what the value of this chassis will skyrocket to.
This auction is a pre-sale, with delivery of the car to be with the new custodian by the end of the race season in 2025, which also means that there are plenty of opportunities for more wins to be added to its growing list of achievements, maybe even a Bathurst 1000 win, and potentially a Championship.
“Imagine watching the race car that you own, win one of the most watched races of all time and go down in Australian Motorsport history forever!” said Mr. Lee Hames, Chief Operations Officer for Lloyds Auctions.
“We have seen supercar chassis’ almost double in value overnight by winning a major race such as Sandown or Bathurst, so who knows this could be an incredible investment opportunity that someone gets to enjoy a 12-month experience alongside also,” continued Mr. Hames.
Bidders will not only be able to buy Chaz’s ride through this pre-sale, but for the first time the package includes the Gen3 race V8 engine which Chaz and Lee Holdsworth will race to win with at the 2024 Bathurst 1000.
“Race it, display it, or put it in a collection, this Supercar will be ready for whatever one lucky owner desires,” continued Mr. Hames.
The car will come in track day condition in the livery it competes in at the 2024 Bathurst 1000.
