A man has been charged over the alleged indecent assault of a teenage girl at a care facility in Sydney’s south west.
Detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad commenced an investigation following a report that a teenaged girl, who has a cognitive impairment, had been indecently assaulted by a carer last year.
Following inquiries, a 61-year-old man was arrested at Liverpool Police Station about 10am today (Wednesday 6 February 2018).
The man was charged with aggravated indecent assault – victim with cognitive impairment.
Police will allege in court that the man indecently assaulted the girl while working at a care facility in Sydney’s south west in July 2018.
He was refused bail and expected to appear at Liverpool Local Court today.
The man’s employment at the facility has since been terminated.
Investigations are continuing.
