Four arrested and stolen goods seized, NSW

Four teenagers have been arrested this morning as a result of investigations by Strike Force Arpen.

Strike Force Arpen was established to investigate a spate of stealing offences across the Sydney metropolitan area. The strike force was made up of officers from North West, South West and Central Metropolitan Region Commands and State Crime Command’s Criminal Groups Squad.

Today (Tuesday 9 July 2019), search warrants were executed at four locations across three suburbs – Guildford West, Northmead and St Marys.

About 7am (Tuesday 9 July 2019), officers executed a search warrant at Windsor Road, Northmead. A 16-year-old boy was taken to Castle Hill Police Station and was dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.

About 7am (Tuesday 9 July 2019), officers executed search warrant at Leach Road, Guildford West. Property alleged to be stolen were seized. A 16-year-old boy was arrested and transported to Granville Police Station.

He was charged with three larceny offences, a stealing offence, affray and participate in criminal group.

About 7.10am (Tuesday 9 July 2019), officers executed a search warrant at Linwood Street, Guildford West. A 16-year-old boy was arrested and conveyed to Granville Police Station.

He was charged with five stealing offences and participate in criminal group.

The two boys from Guildford West were bail refused to appear at Parramatta Children’s Court today (Tuesday 9 July 2019).

About 7.20am (Tuesday 9 July 2019), officers executed a search warrant at Glossop Street, St Marys. Property alleged to be stolen were seized. A 16-year old boy was arrested and taken to Penrith Police Station.

He was a charged with six larceny offences, affray, goods in custody and participate in criminal group.

The teenager was granted conditional bail to appear at Parramatta Children’s Court on Thursday 1 August 2019.
