Police have charged four men after an affray at Leppington overnight which left a fifth man with stab wounds.
About 7.30pm (Saturday 19 January 2019), a 23-year-old man who was with a group of friends left a licensed premises on Camden Valley Way, walking through the carpark.
Following an earlier incident, the man was approached by a group of four other men.
The men were involved in a verbal disagreement which resulted in several punches being thrown.
During the fight the 23-year-old man received a large laceration to his right forearm and a second cut to a hand.
One of the man’s friends also received a minor laceration to his forehead.
Emergency services were contacted, and the injured man was transported to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition where it is expected he will undergo surgery.
Police from Camden Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene. Officers from Liverpool PAC also attended and commenced a patrol of the area.
Four men were located on Cowpasture Road and arrested.
The men were taken to Narellan Police Station where several items of their clothing were seized for forensic analysis.
A 19-year-old Austral man was charged with wound with intent and affray. He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday 20 January 2019)
A 19-year-old Currans Hill man was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray.
A 19-year-old Horningsea Park man and a 19-year-old Hoxton Park man were both charged with affray.
The men were granted conditional bail to appear at Picton Local Court on 12 February 2019.
