A man and three teenagers have been charged for allegedly evading police in two separate incidents in Melbourne’s east this morning.
Officers spotted an allegedly stolen vehicle, travelling outbound on Eastlink near Canterbury Road, Vermont on Tuesday 23 May shortly after 11.30pm.
The group allegedly dumped a white SUV, before taking a ride-share service to Hammence Street in Glen Waverley, where they were arrested by police.
A 15-year-old from Caulfield South has been charged with theft of motor-vehicle, handle stolen goods, reckless conduct, dangerous driving, unlicensed driving, possession of cannabis, possession of a controlled weapon and commit an indictable offence while on bail.
A 16-year-old from Collingwood has been charged with theft of a motor-vehicle, possession of a controlled weapon and commit an indictable offence whilst on bail.
The pair have been bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
A 19-year-old Rowville man has been charged with theft of motor-vehicle and possess a drug of dependence.
He has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ court on 23 June.
A 16-year-old from Hawthorn has been charged with theft of motor-vehicle.
He has been bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
