Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad have charged four men following an incident where two men were seriously assaulted, and a firearm discharged inside a residential address in February.
On Wednesday, 13 March, search warrants were executed at properties in Bundoora and Port Melbourne.
A 27-year-old Bundoora man was charged with aggravated home invasion with firearm, conduct endangering life, two counts of intentionally cause injury, two counts of unlicensed driving, theft of motor vehicle and two counts of possess drug of dependence.
A stolen Volkswagen sedan bearing cloned plates, stolen jet ski and trailer and small quantities of what appear to be methylamphetamine and ecstasy were seized from the residential address.
A 29-year-old Port Melbourne man was charged with aggravated home invasion with firearm, traffick commercial quantity methylamphetamine, theft of motor vehicle, possess drug of dependence, handle stolen goods and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.
Investigators located a stolen motorcycle, a commercial quantity of what is believed to be methylamphetamine and approximately $5,000 cash at the Port Melbourne property.
The duo was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 19 June.
On Monday, 18 March, a 39-year-old Berwick man was arrested in Yarraville.
He was charged with aggravated home invasion with firearm, conduct endangering life, two counts of intentionally cause injury and possess methylamphetamine

With assistance from the Special Operations Group, a 38-year-old Maribyrnong man was arrested at a Maribyrnong shopping centre yesterday evening.
He has since been charged with aggravated home invasion with firearm, conduct endangering life, two counts of intentionally cause injury, prohibited person use firearm, theft of motor vehicle and unlicensed driving.
The man was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 19 June.
The charges follow an incident where four armed men forced entry into a Caulfield property and assaulted two men just before midnight on Sunday, 18 February. During the altercation, a firearm was discharged within the property.
Two men inside the property at the time were conveyed to hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
One 34-year-old man was treated for head injuries and a second 34-year-old man received treatment for facial injuries.
Police believe the incident was targeted and parties involved were known to each other.
