Investigations are underway after four people were injured in multi-vehicle crash in Sydney’s west yesterday.
Just after 5.30pm (Wednesday 20 May 2020), emergency services were called to the intersection of Smithfield Road and Beavors Street, Prairiewood, after reports three cars were involved in a crash.
Police have been told a silver Toyota Corolla and black Ford Raptor collided on Smithfield Road, causing the Ford to then travel onto the incorrect side of the road and collide with a White Hyundai iLoad.
Officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command attended, along NSW Ambulance paramedics and Fire and Rescue NSW.
The Ford provisional driver – a 17-year-old boy – was uninjured, however his front passenger – a 16-year-old boy – suffered neck and leg injuries. An 18-year-old man, who was seated in the rear of the Ford, suffered chest injuries.
The driver of the Corolla, a 19-year-old woman, and the driver of the Hyundai van, a 29-year-old man, suffered non life-threatening injuries. All occupants of the vehicles were taken to hospital.
A crime scene was established, which was examined by specialist police from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit.
