Fourth person charged after investigation into drug supply, NSW

A fourth person has been charged following an investigation into the supply of methylamphetamine (‘ice’) in the state’s far south.

Investigators from Murray River Police District established Strike Force Reichert in June 2019 to investigate and target the supply of prohibited drugs in rural towns across southern NSW.

In August 2019, three people, a 37-year-old man, a 39-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man, were charged. They remain before the courts.

Following further inquiries, a 44-year-old woman was arrested at Albury Police Station about 4.45pm yesterday (Tuesday 10 December 2019).

She was charged with four counts of supply prohibited drugs, two counts of take part in supply prohibited drugs, possess prohibited drugs, and deal with proceeds of crime.

The woman was refused bail to appear at Albury Local Court today (Wednesday 11 December 2019).

Investigations under Strike Force Reichert are continuing.
