‘Fragmented’ adjective: existing or functioning as though broken into separate parts, disorganized or disunified.
Fragmented is an exhibition that brings together South Australian textile artists from the Fibre Artist Network, a group that have been working together for over twenty years. Artists have worked individually to interpret the theme creating imaginative, diverse and original pieces of art. To provide cohesion the artists have produced art works measuring one metre in height and up to one metre wide.
Artwork will include wall hangings or stretched canvasses and involves techniques such as embellishments, printing, dyeing, painting, fabric collage, machine and hand stitching, as well as fabric manipulation or distortion.
