Local small businesses will be able to attend free Australian Taxation Office workshops in Swan Hill in March thanks to a partnership between Council and the ATO.
Workshops are designed to give businesses a broad understanding of ATO requirements for small business.
Swan Hill Rural City Council Economic Development Coordinator Muriel Scholz said the workshops are tailored to common small business enquiries.
“We will be holding five sessions including starting a small business, planning your regular financial commitments, income tax deductions, motor vehicle deductions and depreciation.” she said
Ms Scholz said the workshops would be highly informative and give businesses tools to use within the workplace and online.
“Whether you have been in business for a long time or you are just starting out, the information imparted will give you better knowledge and may very well save you money, so come along, ask questions and give your business the best chance of success” she said.
