Council, in partnership with Transport for NSW, is running three two-hour workshops on March 5, 19 and 23. The workshops are for parents, carers and supervisors of learner drivers to help our learners to become confident safe drivers.
The free workshops provide practical advice on supervising learner drivers, young driver issues, encouraging safe driver behaviour, completing logbooks, L and P plater laws and the Safer Drivers Course for learners. Learner drivers are also encouraged to attend.
Teaching someone to drive is a rewarding challenge. It is important that we don’t pass on any bad habits we’ve developed over the years to our next generation of road users.
These workshops will equip teachers with simple tools to ensure they can provide their child, family member or friend with everything they need to know to drive safely on our roads.
Council encourages anyone teaching a learner driver to attend a workshop to find out how to make learning to drive a positive experience.
Helping our next generation of road users to learn about safe driver behaviours is essential for keeping us all safe.
