In a review in The Age at the time, the concert was described as:
“….Kura Tungar is another triumphant collaboration for the AAO and the performance was met with a standing ovation by Sunday’s audience. Its creative and insightful combination of ideas and imagery – with the mesmerising, charismatic performances of Hunter and Roach at its core – provides a thought-provoking, deeply moving and ultimately celebratory exploration of home, spirit and the nature of identity.”
Councillor for Arts, Culture and Heritage Helen Healy said the free screenings would provide a chance for the community to gain a greater appreciation of not only the 2004 concert, but the First Nations artists that made it so special.
“This wonderful documentary offers a behind-the-scenes look at that iconic concert, using footage combining conversations, rehearsals and the opening night itself,” Cr Healy said.
