Our CEO Lucy Roffey has resigned, effective 21 August 2024 following dedicated service for six years.
Lucy took the helm in 2018 working with Administrators to transform our organisation, inducted our current councillors and invigorated our advocacy to fund a long list of community projects and infrastructure.
She leaves behind a legacy of long-term planning, clear objectives for the benefit of our community and a united team of staff continuing to deliver on the community’s future vision.
We warmly wish Lucy well for the future.
An interim CEO will be appointed until after the October Council Election. The new Council will appoint our next CEO. We’ll keep you informed as these changes unfold.
OUTDOOR POOL UPDATE
With the Octagonal Pool rebuild now complete at the Maryborough Outdoor Pool, the remaining funding is being used to deliver upgrades to the pavilion.
Scaffolding was installed earlier this week to carry out the following:
- New roof – along with new deeper box gutters to prevent leaks, new flashings, rainwater heads and downpipes
- Removal of redundant services
- Render repairs to the top and inner face of all the parapet walls – to stop moisture from leaking into the building and causing future damage (this work is being carried out by local heritage specialist Craig Congues)
Further works to be carried out include:
- Asbestos removal from the building
- General carpentry and repair of various timber elements
- Ceiling repairs and painting
