Parks and playgrounds
There are lots of great and across the inner city. With more than 400 parks to choose from, you can spend an afternoon at one of our expansive green spaces or visit your local pocket park. We’ve just finished renewing so drop by for a spin in the hamster wheel.
Skate parks and cycling tips
If you’re on track for more adventure, we’ve got epic skate parks at Sydney and Federal parks. The bike track at is another fun option. Free balance bike clinics for 3 to 8-year-olds and their carers also run from Monday 30 September to Friday 4 October at Sydney Park.
Sydney City Farm
Enjoy a free, seasonal guided walk at at Sydney Park from 1pm on Saturday 5 October. See what fresh food our volunteers are planting and discover herbs, vegies, flowers and fruits ready for harvest.
Libraries
Our state-of-the-art facilities provide respite from busy city living with books, games, toys and puzzles available to borrow. We’ve also got free sessions during the holidays where kids can plant seeds or make bird feeders, wind chimes and macrame keyrings. Catch our last couple of HSC study nights at Green Square Library too.
Self-guided walks
Set your own pace and take in Sydney’s sights using our . Get your history, art or architectural fix on self-guided walking tours curated by the City of Sydney.
Neighbourhood street celebrations
Our events are fun days out for the family featuring live music, business pop-ups, entertainers, kids activities and alfresco dining. Macleay Street in Potts Point will close to traffic from 11am to 1pm on Saturday 28 September with Glebe Point Road following suit on Saturday 12 October.
