Funding community projects in Myall Lakes

NSW ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s

³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s Member for Myall Lakes, Stephen Bromhead, has announced 11 community projects in the Myall Lakes electorate will benefit from almost $2.6 million in grant funding under Round Five of the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund.

³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s Minister for Regional Roads and Transport, Sam Farraway, visited Pacific Palms to announce funding for two of the local projects.

“The NSW ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s in the state government are investing $288,399 to upgrade lighting at the Pacific Palms Sports Grounds, meaning more people in the community can access the fields day or night” Mr Farraway said.

“We’re also announcing $250,000 for Mid Coast Council to construct a pathway which will complete the link from North Boomerang Beach through to Marina Avenue to Elizabeth Beach.

“These are meaningful community projects that bring people together and allow more people to enjoy the picturesque Pacific Palms.”

Round Five of the Stronger Country Communities Fund will support local community and sporting infrastructure projects, street beautification, public programs, and events that display the best of local character and community spirit.

The Stronger Country Communities Fund is part of the NSW ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾s in the state government’s $3.3 billion Regional Growth Fund, designed to support growing regional centres, activate local economies, and improve services and community infrastructure in the regions.

The Pacific Palms Community Association has thanked Mr Bromhead for his advocacy and support in obtaining the grant.
