Funding open for 2021 Harmony Week activities

  • Do you have a great idea for Harmony Week? Perhaps you have a project that celebrates our cultural diversity and promotes an inclusive Western Australia?

    Funding is now available for community groups and not-for-profit organisations to hold activities for Harmony Week 2021 which promote understanding, cultural diversity and inclusion.

    Grants of $2,000 are available from the McGowan Government, through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.

    Activities with a focus on culture and the arts, and sport and recreation are encouraged.

    Harmony Week runs from March 15-21 every year and encourages everyone to experience, explore and appreciate WA’s wealth of cultural, faith, linguistic and ethnic diversity.

    The deadline for funding applications for Harmony Week activities is 4:00pm on Monday, October 19, 2020.

    ‘Harmony Week activities provide an opportunity to bring people together to learn, connect and have fun while exploring the benefits of being a part of a vibrant multicultural society”

    “Next year’s Harmony Week will see Western Australia buzz with all types of activities. I encourage community groups to start thinking about their projects and join in this wonderful celebration.”
