Detectives investigating the shooting of Craig Anderson in Sydney’s west last month have laid two additional murder charges at court today.
About 7.30pm on Monday 27 May 2019, police and emergency services were called to Meridian Place, Doonside, after reports a man had been shot.
On arrival, officers located Craig Anderson, aged 51, with gunshot wounds. He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.
A crime scene was established and examined by specialist forensic and ballistics officers.
Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, with assistance from the Organised Crime Squad and Blacktown Police Area Command, commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting under Strike Force Naradhun.
Five men – aged 22, 28, 44 and two aged 27 – were charged following the murder and remain before the courts.
Following further inquiries, Strike Force Naradhun detectives charged two of the men – aged 27 and 28 – with murder at Penrith Local Court today (Friday 7 June 2019).
Investigations are continuing.
