Further two men charged over stabbing murder, NSW

Detectives investigating a fatal stabbing in Sydney’s south-west earlier this month have charged an additional two men in relation to the incident.

Emergency services were called to a unit on William Street, Condell Park, about 2.45am on Saturday 7 December 2019, after reports a 29-year-old man had been stabbed multiple times.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however, he died at the scene.

A 59-year-old woman was also treated for minor injuries.

Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad and Bankstown Police Area Command commenced an investigation under Strike Force Chevalier.

As a result of inquiries, detectives from the Robbery and Serious Crime Squad took carriage of the investigation.

So far during the investigation, strike force detectives have charged three men – aged 27, 29 and 35 – and a 44-year-old woman. They remain before the courts.

Following further inquiries, officers arrested two men – aged 52 and 20 – at Pennant Hills just before 11am yesterday (Wednesday 18 December 2019).

The pair were taken to Hornsby Police Station where the older man was charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

The younger man was charged with conceal serious indictable offence.

Both men were refused bail to appear at Hornsby Local Court today (Thursday 19 December 2019).

Investigations are continuing.
