The Australian Government is encouraging applications from suppliers or consortia to develop a national Drought Resilience Research and Adoption Investment Plan.
Minister for Agriculture, Drought and Emergency Management David Littleproud said the investment plan will identify short and long-term research and adoption priorities for Australia.
“The investment plan will help ensure the activities of regionally-focused adoption and innovation hubs are informed by national priorities,” Minister Littleproud said.
“The plan will be a key pillar in shaping our drought resilience research and adoption program under the Australian Government’s $5 billion Future Drought Fund and has the potential to influence broader innovation and investment beyond the Fund.
“Applicants will be assessed on their national network capability and expertise in understanding the social, environmental and economic issues of drought resilience.”
Interested organisations have until 7 January 2021 to apply.
