For the first time since itsinception nearly a decade ago, 100 per cent of Northern Territory Governmentschools have signed up to take part in this years National Day of Action againstBullying and Violence.
The annual day encouragesstudents across Australia to sign up to take part in a nationwide movement tounite and take a stand together against bullying and violence in schools,classrooms and online.

The day is a largelystudent-led initiative that complements a number of programs and services in NTschools to tackle the scourge of bullying and its potentially devastatingimpacts.
Last week, Chief MinisterMichael Gunner joined Kate and Tick Everett, the parents of 14-year-oldTerritory bullying victim Dolly, in launching the Dollys Dream eSmart program,designed to tackle cyber-bullying in NT schools.
Last year, the Department ofEducation also launched the NT Social and Emotional Learning Curriculum, a newlearning program that complements traditional curriculum by teaching studentsto understand and regulate their emotions and to manage and respond to theirsocial environment.
