Active Farmers is a Not-for-Profit Organisation & Health Promotion Charity that brings together farmers and small farming communities through regular group fitness classes. The classes, run by local personal trainers, in over 40 communities and are suitable to all levels of fitness & ability in a fun and interactive environment.

Their vision is to build stronger and more resilient farming communities by improving not only physical health, but also offering an opportunity for regular social interaction, which combined naturally improves mental health and builds community resilience. They also offer a range of health-related workshops and larger community events such as the Active Farmers Games and Run for Resilience to compliment the group fitness classes.

Each year, Australia Day Ambassadors, from Olympians and Paralympians, environmentalists and foodies, to humanitarians and local heroes – more than 100 remarkable Australians will participate in Australia Day 2022 activities around the state, sharing meaningful stories and connecting with communities.

These high achieving individuals will head to all corners of NSW on 26 January, volunteering their time and energy to contribute to local festivities, with communities encouraged to come together this Australia Day to Reflect, Respect and Celebrate the Australian spirit and our diversity.

Ambassadors generously volunteer their time and energy to inspire pride and celebration. They hand out Australia Day community awards, judge lamington competitions, preside over thong-throwing challenges, help cook sausage sizzles and mingle with locals over a cup of tea.
