‘The Importance of Being Earnest, A Trivial Comedy for Serious People’ is a play by Oscar Wilde. The play was first performed at the St James’s Theatre in London on 14 February 1985 and is coming to the Goulburn Performing Arts Centre with two performances only Friday 30 June at 7.30pm and Saturday 1st July at 2pm – Tickets are strictly limited to 50 for this truly unique experience.
Goulburn Performing Arts Centre Manager Raina Savage said, “we are expecting this unique play to be a sell-out show as the play will be performed in the bar area at GPAC, and become the Bunbury Club, rather than be on the main stage.
For the first time, signature cocktails to suit the theme of the play will be available. For anyone that would not normally attend a stage show, this will be a more relaxed and interactive play, something that GPAC has not offered before.”
