Grants Awarded In February And March

Campaspe Shire Council is delighted to announce the successful recipients of Grants programs for the months of February and March. These grants aim to support and empower local community organisations and groups in their valuable work to enhance the quality of life for residents throughout our region.

Council’s grants programs provide financial assistance to a diverse range of projects and initiatives that contribute to the social, cultural, environmental, and economic development of the Campaspe community. Council received numerous applications for funding, each displaying the passion and dedication of local groups and individuals towards improving our vibrant community.

The grants that were awarded in February and March include:

Community Event Sponsorship

Council provided approximately $8,500 of financial support for upcoming community events across the shire, including:

  • Rich River Rod & Custom Club Inc. to assist with hosting the Rich River Rod Run on 16 and 17 March.
  • Colbinabbin & District Historical Society Inc. to go towards hosting the Colbinabbin Silo Art Picnic and Wine Festival on 5 May.
  • Kyabram Lawn Tennis Club Inc. to assist with hosting the annual Easter Tournament from 30 March to 1 April.
  • Echuca Steam Preservation Society Inc. to go towards hosting the Echuca Moama Steam Iron and Trades Revival from 7 to 10 June.

Community Equipment Grants

Council provided approximately $5,500 of community equipment grants to provide financial assistance to community groups and sporting clubs. The funds were distributed to:

  • Echuca Moama Pride Inc. to purchase a marquee and signage for events across the shire.
  • Rushworth Football Netball Club Inc. to assist with buying essential equipment to encourage junior participation in the club.
  • Kyabram & District Men’s Shed Inc. to purchase a range of weights and accessories to help introduce a strength training program at the Men’s Shed.

Campaspe Shire Council would like to express its gratitude to all the organisations, groups and individuals that submitted grant applications. The level of community engagement and participation highlights the strong commitment towards creating a vibrant and inclusive community for all residents.
