Greater Hamilton Localised Now Live

Local businesses in the Greater Hamilton region now have access to a new online network designed to help them find and win more work locally.

An initiative of Southern Grampians Shire Council and Hamilton Regional Business Association, Localised is free for local businesses to register and set up their business profile.

Southern Grampians Shire Council Mayor Cr Mary-Ann Brown says Localised is all about helping the local business community grow.

“Our region is full of amazing businesses, both large and small, but too often people don’t know what’s out there,” said Cr Brown.

“We want to help break down those barriers by providing a platform that connects businesses and helps to grow the local economy. Through Localised, businesses can advertise their products and services, engage with other businesses and get access to a range of local events and professional development opportunities for their staff,” Cr Brown continued.

Businesses can sign up to Localised for free and use it to:

  • Create a profile and advertise their goods and services
  • Get recommendations, introductions and quotes from local suppliers
  • Access a pipeline of future procurements across the region
  • Promote a business event they’re running
  • Access a regional calendar of business networking and professional development opportunities.

Neighbouring Councils Warrnambool City and Moyne Shire are also utilising Localised and Greater Hamilton Businesses who register will also have access to this wider regional network, providing even more opportunity to strengthen the local economy.

“We encourage anyone who is in business or works for a local business, to jump online to and register their details,” Cr Brown concluded.

The Hamilton Regional Business Association are excited about the positive changes Localised could bring to the region.

“By joining Localised, together we can encourage more business spending to stay local, grow our local businesses – and jobs – and support a vibrant and growing economy and community,” said Naomi Turner, Hamilton Regional Business Association.
