Following the lockdown announcement by the NT Government, Greater Katherine and Robinson River (including surrounding homelands) will be declared a hotspot from 6pm tomorrow (16 November).
This means anyone travelling to Queensland from the Greater Katherine region after 6pm tomorrow will need to arrive by air, provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result, and those with a suitable home will go into home quarantine for 14 days. Anyone who doesn’t have a suitable home or anyone who doesn’t meet the eligibility for home quarantine will be required to complete the quarantine period in a government-arranged hotel.
Queensland Health strongly urges anyone who has arrived in Queensland from the Greater Katharine region between 6pm tonight (15 November) until 6pm tomorrow night (16 November) to get a COVID-19 test as soon as practical and follow the same lockdown restrictions announced by the NT Government.
As always, anyone with any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, should get tested as soon as practical.
