Grants of up to $5,000 are available for not-for-profit community groups to support activities, projects, and programs that enhance and protect biodiversity and environmental volunteering in Bayside.
Council’s new Bayside Sustainable Environments Grants program is supported by the Victorian Government’s ‘Caring for Our Local Environments’ initiative.
The new program seeks to support the vital work of volunteer and not-for-profit environmental groups.
Our passionate and knowledgeable volunteers and community groups work in partnership with Council to protect and preserve Bayside’s wonderful natural environment, and our special places in particular.
This new grants program will enable our volunteers and community groups to broaden and continue their work, which is so important to the future of Bayside.
The program aims to support positive biodiversity outcomes for Bayside (such as revegetation projects, indigenous planting, litter prevention etc.) or projects which strengthen or enhance the work of Bayside’s network of environmental volunteers.
Eligible projects include those that support sustainability initiatives, environmental volunteering, connection and access to nature, indigenous biodiversity protection and citizen science initiatives.
Applications open today and close on 31 October 2019.
