Police have released vision of 13 people as part of the investigation into the grievous bodily harm of a 17-year-old boy at Palm Beach on Saturday (October 23).
Around 9.30pm, the boy was socialising with a group of friends at a public park (known as ‘Pirate Park’) at the intersection of the Gold Coast Highway and Thrower Drive, when another group of males and females unknown to them attended and a verbal argument occurred.
The argument escalated to punching at which time a 17-year-old boy sustained significant lacerations to his inner forearm.
The group who caused the injury then fled across the Gold Coast Highway and west along Thrower Drive.
The injured boy was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.
Subsequent investigations located a broken alcohol bottle nearby which police believe caused the injury.
Police have information that there were other members of the public in the area around the time who may have witnessed or filmed the incident and are now appealing to anyone with information or vision to come forward.
