Acacia Ridge Detectives have charged a 26-year-old Bellbird Park man in relation to a serious assault incident in Durack yesterday morning, July 13.
It will be alleged at approximately 1.30am, a 44-year-old Inala man was physically struck by another man, not known to him, before collapsing to the ground outside a licenced venue along King Avenue.
The 44-year-old man remains in a critical condition at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
As a result of investigations, a 26-year-old man was charged with grievous bodily harm this afternoon, July 14.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Richlands Magistrates Court tomorrow, July 15.
Detectives are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with footage of the area, including dashcam and CCTV, to come forward.
