The 2022 Sustainable Garden Awards celebrate and recognise the importance and prevalence of sustainable gardening and landscaping in the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters.

With nominations now open, Acting Chief Executive Lisa Mara says: “The Council’s Sustainable Garden Awards aim to foster community awareness and interest in the importance of sustainable gardens and landscapes in our City.”

The Sustainable Garden Awards is open to all residents, businesses, schools and community groups who have a sustainable story to share.

“Any garden or landscaped area located within the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters which contributes to the quality of our environment and well-being is eligible to nominate,” Ms Mara added.

“A biennial initiative of the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters, the Awards not only showcase gardens which positively contribute to the environment and well-being of our community, but also includes a series of free, informative and fun workshops, webinars and tours,” Ms Mara said.

The Sustainable Garden workshops and tours will include a Native Plant Giveaway, Guided walks and Along the River event. All workshops and tours are free but bookings are essential.
