Come along to Hawkesbury Regional Museum on Saturday, 18 May from 10am-4pm to celebrate the Museum’s 11th birthday! The free event will also celebrate International Museum Day and the ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Trust Heritage Week Festival.
The Open Day will showcase local heritage, with a Welcome to Country, free tours of historical Howe House, historical group displays, a free sausage sizzle, kids’ activities and live music.
It will be a fun-filled family day with musical entertainment by Brett the Hat, Cracked Cats and Chorella.
The Museum is wonderful place to connect people, places and our past, according to Keri Whiteley, Council’s Cultural Services Manager.
“We can proudly rely on the Museum to bring together communities from all walks of life to recognise and celebrate our local heritage and culture, telling the stories of diverse and distinctive experiences that make up our communities,” Ms Whiteley said.
The Museum has had 173,667 visitors pass through its doors since it opened and it has won eight major awards, including awards for tourism, volunteering, exhibitions and collection management, as well as an award for the building itself.
This is a free event but bookings are preferred for catering purposes via Eventbrite
The Museum is located at 8 Baker Street, Windsor. For more details visit
