Richmond Oval was turned an impressive shade of pink as 15,000 gathered to enjoy the delicious flavours, aromas, sight and sounds of the third annual Savour the Flavour Hawkesbury food festival on Saturday.

The event far exceeded last year’s attendance, with visitors from all over the Hawkesbury and Sydney partaking in food and beverages from 58 local food producers, cooking demonstrations, apple pie eating competition, Q&As, live entertainment, carnival rides, workshops, kids activities and more. The oval was awash with picnic rugs well into the evening as families enjoyed the food and soaked in the atmosphere.

Sydney cake queen and guest MC Katherine Sabbath (Instagram – @katherine_sabbath) delighted crowds with her colour, flair and special insight into the world of culinary creation.

Council is excited to announce that the date has already been set for Savour the Flavour 2025! Mark Saturday 11 October 2025 in your diaries and make a plan to be at Richmond Oval from 4pm to 9pm!

The event’s dedicated website will be regularly updated over the coming months as the event approaches. Updates will also be available via the Hawkesbury Events Facebook page – and Council’s corporate page

Savour the Flavour Hawkesbury was proudly sponsored by Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley, Bilpin Fruit Bowl, Oakville Harvest, Bendigo Bank North Richmond and Richmond, Happy Dumplings and Busways.
