The 350-hectare burn will be conducted just off Murrah River Road and Horse Head Road to help protect nearby properties and assets, including the Murrah, Bunga, Tanja and Cuttagee communities.

Tracks and trails in this area will also be closed for visitor safety during the operation and reopened when the area is assessed as safe. Visitors can keep up to date on temporary closures at .

Smoke may be visible in the Flora Reserves and surrounding areas, including Murrah and Cuttagee.

Motorists should use caution when driving on Tathra-Bermagui Road where smoke may be visible.

People vulnerable to smoke are encouraged to remain indoors and keep their doors and windows closed to reduce exposure.

All hazard reduction burns around the state are coordinated with the NSW RFS to ensure the impact on the community is assessed at a regional level.
