This special photo opportunity on Friday 30 August at 11am is to promote the annual 9/11 Commemorative Sports Day hosted by QFD and QPS on September 7 and celebrate Queensland’s frontline staff.
With the Story Bridge and the Brisbane River as the back drop, elite sporting delegates from QPS and QFD will be participating in a photoshoot that showcases both the competitive rivalry and most importantly, the camaraderie between the two emergency services as they prepare to go head-to-head at the annual 9/11 Commemorative Sports Day.
Competitors from a variety of sports across QPS and QFD, including former Wallabies player Vanessa Bradley turned QPS Women’s Rugby League Coach, will come together on September 7 to honour the emergency services personnel who tragically lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks in New York.
