We’re looking for a local person with lived experience of disability to help us improve access and inclusion and make Bayside better for everyone.

to join the Disability Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee are now open until 12 February 2023.

The Committee is formed of 10 community members with lived experience of disability and two elected Councillors. There is currently one vacant position, which brings a great opportunity to further diversify the Committee’s representation.

The Advisory Committee meets up to six times a year to help shape proposed projects, discuss challenges and opportunities, and provide advice from a disability perspective. In its first year, the Committee helped to develop Council’s and will continue to work collaboratively with Council to progress disability inclusion with a focus on the following areas: physical and built environment, community participation and employment.
